Sciatica Treatment in Hackensack, NJSigns that you may have sciatica

Sciatica is a condition characterized by pain moving down the sciatic nerve pathway, which runs from the lower back to the leg. The most frequent cause of sciatica is a spinal disc herniation which puts pressure on the sciatic nerve and is present in about 90% of cases. Sciatica can be an extremely debilitating condition that can affect your everyday activities. Sciatica typically affects only one side of the body and classic symptoms include pain radiating down the back of the leg from the buttocks region.

Many people find that living with sciatica can be a nightmare.  Chronic and acute pain disrupt sleep and everyday activities.  If you feel like you have sciatica you should see Dr. Robert Conti immediately so he can diagnose and treat the symptoms before they worsen.

Additional common symptoms of sciatica include:

  • Pain in the back, buttocks, hip or lower extremities
  • Leg and/or foot numbness
  • Sensation of pins and needles in the legs and buttocks
  • Burning sensation
  • Muscle weakness

Treating sciatica without medication or surgery at our chiropractic facility

Sciatica has been treated successfully without the need for surgery or harmful medications. At Conti Spine & Physical Therapy, Dr. Conti will perform chiropractic adjustments to alleviate pressure on the sciatic nerve and restore motion to the joints.

I have been going to Dr. Conti since 2002.  From day 1, I knew I picked the right Chiropractor.  He is so easy to speak to, takes his time understanding your issue, and doesn’t rush you out the door. He and his staff are extremely funny and friendly and they treat you like part of their family – I never enjoy going to the doctors but I really look forward to coming to his office.
